I came across my blog again after looking out of my office window influenced by utter insanity and clear cut boredom, it was like the volcanic ash clouds had subdued me in my seat and forced me to rethink that sometimes i talk alot of crap. But sometimes i think and i hope it actually makes sense. Well nonetheless as ive always stated this blog is for my benefit if people feel the urge to read it they can feel free to do so. 2009/2010 a lots happened around this time, too much actually, losing a friend, getting married, moving house, so much more that i really cant bother remembering most of the stuff.
So what next, im sitting amidst alot of noise and chaos, while put your lights on by santana is being played in the background, the world is shifting, both from a physical perspective and well for indiviuals from an emotional perspective as well. I really dont know what to write anymore, i think im going to go now and write back later :P byeeee
Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2789963779518343025.post-46758285745578796572009-01-13T00:21:00.000-08:002009-06-22T23:13:26.887-07:002009 the future is here! I've tried and tried and tried again, but nothing i feel can come out of this city, albiet entertainment based unless atleast someone really really free can actually accumalate a calender of activities which come out every month hence increasing the temptation of the wait.
As you can see im going to try being a little more active on this blog now and start talking yet again about crap that is on my mind and im sure alot of other peoples mind, todays focus will be lack of entertainment, so what does one do? Eat out? Have Coffee? Go for ice cream? Fuck dude im really tired of eating or drinking coffee and im sure half of the people out there are also but due to the lack of things to do they go for it nonetheless, so next time you go out to eat, or go out for coffee, lets make it more interesting, break a plate, break a glass, break a cup, so what, they'll charge you for it? Fuck that atleast it'll cause some sort of excitement. :)
What else is there too do? Bowling? Go bowling yes but go bowling UTTERLY drunk!! dont drink and drive though be sure to keep a designated driver.
Poker seems to be getting pretty big down in khi, well sadly i love playing it, but i hate loosing to it but yet again be sure to keep your wallets well stocked its a great game but anything is possible and really guys if your good at facebook poker doesnt mean you're going to be good at real life poker so get over it. Get into a variation start playing strip poker ;) be sure to have women on the table or it gets rather sausagey if u know what i mean.
You know its sad, im actually having to sit here and think what one can actually do in this city and frankly there isn't a whole lot, so how about some start a calender a yearly calender plug in things plug in dates plug in anything even if its going to slap someone across the road, just type it in maybe we can come up with something fun.
Nonetheless ill kill todays blog by saying i had a moment it was during my vacation, i was floating in the sea(which i find incredibly fucking difficult to do) at koh samui amidst two huge cliffs, the great blue sky and the great blue sea and at that point and time, i just let go of it all, life seems alot more simpler after that. Everyone should give it a shot just get the hell out of your mundane routine and just do something relaxing/different/crazy anything that rocks your world or shakes it up a little bit even its a great feeling :)Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2789963779518343025.post-51797922296382211142008-06-19T02:09:00.000-07:002008-06-19T02:12:08.163-07:00Pakistani Student Snubs U.S. Ambassador, Payback For AttackIn the full glare of the media, Samad Khurram refused to receive an award from Anne Patterson. None of the Pakistanis in the hall joined him or gave him a standing ovation.

By AHMED QURAISHI
Reported By ZAID HAMID
Wednesday, 18 June 2008.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan—A Pakistani student, Mr. Samad Khurram, today has done what the Pakistani government is afraid to do so far: Snub the U.S. ambassador in the Pakistani capital for the cowardly U.S. attack against our military on the border with Afghanistan.

Samad, a student of law at Harvard University, was in Islamabad to receive a shield of achievement from Anne Patterson, the U.S. ambassador.

But instead of sucking up to the U.S. ambassador, like many Pakistani officials choose to do, Samad had on his mind the blood of over 30 Pakistanis, half of them soldiers, who were killed on the soil of their homeland on June 10 when the Americans sided with Karzai thugs, also known as the ‘Afghan national army’, and used massive air power to target a peaceful Pakistani border post.

Ms. Patterson was attending a special ceremony organized at the National Arts Gallery by a privately owned Pakistani school. The school had invited 188 of its former students who received scholarships to study at various American colleges and universities. Parents of the students were present, along with Mrs. Zahida Kiayni, the wife of the Chief of Army Staff Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kiyani.

Ms. Patterson and other U.S. embassy officials were shocked and embarrassed when Samad walked to the stage to receive his award but then announced he was refusing the honor to protest the unprovoked American violation of Pakistani airspace and the murder of innocent Pakistanis.

A shaken Ms. Patterson smiled sheepishly and tried to make the best out of an embarrassing moment.

According to the Associated Press of Pakistan, the official news agency, this is how the U.S. ambassador responded:

“The American ambassador, responding to the protest of the student, said America has deep regrets on the incident. She said America is proud to have him (Samad Khurram) in USA for study, adding, “The only way to remove the misunderstanding is to exchange ideas and views.”

Ms. Patterson had a point there. We need to put our position out to the Americans in a clear way. Samad did just that. He did not boycott the ceremony. He attended it and made sure he rebuked the U.S. ambassador in the full glare of the media.

The unfortunate part is that no one present in the huge hall of NCA joined this nationalist young Pakistani in his gesture. At the very least, Pakistanis present in the hall should have given him a standing ovation.

The other unfortunate part is that none of the 80 or so Pakistani news channels highlighted the incident. Why did we allow private Pakistani channels in the first place? Wasn’t it to project Pakistani position to the world? If this was the Indian media, if this was the Chinese media, if this was the Iranian media, if this was the Arab media, if this was the Turkish media, this incident would have been repeated at the top of every news bulletin for the day. But this is the Pakistani media, filled with self-hating Pakistani ‘liberals’ who think taking pride in their homeland is a shameful act.

I hope some of the defeatist ‘liberal’ Pakistanis working for television news channels might be reading this. If you know someone there, please admonish them. I know plenty myself. But I work for one. I don’t own it.

It is sad that ordinary Pakistanis will always be more nationalist and patriotic than their so-called ‘liberal’ intellectuals and their non-intellectual politicians.

But Samad Khurram, no matter what, we are proud of you. If this defeatist Pakistani media is not celebrating you, we are.Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2789963779518343025.post-90649847370831257092008-02-21T04:26:00.000-08:002008-02-21T04:44:13.069-08:00the calm before the storm...Well congratulations guys, democracy is on its way? Or is it? Hah you know i find this entire situation rather pathetic, but am also quite empathic towards it and also towards my country Pakistan. I have always considered democracy in this country as this new phrase that i have coined which fits in perfectly for it. This country has attained "democrazy" people are plain simple going mad. They don't have food, our big wig politicians are holding back on stuff like wheat rice etc, the bird flu is up everyones asses, the heat is about to start rising, no wonder the common man is actually losing there SHIT. "Democrazy" stands for a country which is completely functioning in a backwards manner, it is a statement coined for the millions of people who are uneducated and you can buy there vote for like 10 rs... Do they understand what the government is? No, are they educated? No. Do they want to make a difference? No.

So what do they truly want? They plain and simply just want to live there daily lives eat some food and move on. Who takes them for granted? Our lovely politicians, i yet have to come across a politician who looks at Pakistan from a complete perspective and not just a regional based. Bhaee if you are saying that you can bring about change and make a difference and reinstate democracy, how about looking at the bigger picture? I guess for our loving politicians the bigger picture revolves more on the phrase "Show me the MONEY".

The calm before the storm? Well think about it, inflation is going straight up everyones asses, normal edibles like grain, wheat, even veggies and fruit are overpriced, the middle man is spending money yes but they are so drawn into loans etc that they don't realize that these banks will suck them dry. The poor man wants food and shelter and guess what they are not getting that. So imagine the french revolution pakistani style. Neither do i promote violence and insanity neither do i enjoy it, but people shits definitely going to hit the roof so just be geared for it. Viva la Pakistan! :P does that make sense?Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2789963779518343025.post-65626055368922259112008-01-07T04:20:00.000-08:002008-01-07T04:34:21.181-08:00Assasinations, weddings & the hunt for milk, bread and water! - Part 3 - Oh yeah and Ciggarettes!
I felt like i was walking the streets of resident evil, newspapers flying everywhere, broken glass on the street burnt up cars and no soul on the road, i decided lets go find some smokes and guess what couldnt find crap. Lets get a coke, guess what couldn't find that, Tried to get milk, bread, water NOTHING was available. The death of a supposed martyr destroyed the countries infrastructure to the extreme. I have always been known to hook people up with whatever they needed but for the first time in my life. I couldnt even get some drinking coke. It was hideous, i felt like i was in the middle of a warzone. What does one do when the city you live in and love is going through this attrocious phase. You watch you city bleed and you cant do anything to fix it up. One man cant do alot, but one man can try. So whoever thinks they can. Please RISE, please speak up and please try to make some sort of a difference. Its sad how vendors just overpriced everything. But kudos to the people who didnt, support was definitely there. People stopped other people from driving into warzone marked locations, people were supportive. If the masses are supportive, if the people of this country are supportive. Who caused all this chaos? Well i have insight on a very basic scale but lets try not to make this political.
Solutions were not at all provided to the people of the city. We were jailed within our houses. Luckily electricity did not fail us as much as we expected but at the end of the day there was nothing else. But a handful of people gave me hope. They made me understand that there is still some hope left in this amazingly beautiful hellhole of ours. I would like to give them all a shout out. Thank you for helping the people around you, thank you for your support. The news channels behaved and well they were quite positive this time around. Kudos to them as well. Especially dawn news, thats some pretty good work guys keep it up. The city has a negativity surrounding it its time to blow away this cloud of uncertainty and rise like the a phoenix! Karachi will rise and everyone out there will make it happen. Welcome to the new year karachi this is actually your time!Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2789963779518343025.post-87567646765643815072008-01-07T03:29:00.000-08:002008-01-07T04:20:01.368-08:00Assasinations, weddings & the hunt for milk, bread and water! - Part 2
Amidst all this chaos, while people were stranded on the roads, without access to the outside world since phone lines were down. Weddings still had to happen, i was actually a part of a great wedding. A close friends wedding where she had about 24 guests flying in from london, india, ukraine and brazil. How was this going to actually happen considering the groom and his friends arrived the morning after Benazirs death? Well it happened and it was rockin' the father of the bride was king on this momentous occasion, security was arranged for, guest houses were arranged for transport was looked after and well the booze intake was definitely going to go into overdrive.
We all partied non stop from dusk till dawn, we derived our own pleasurable insanity from the chaotic insanity that was taking place in the outside city. What did the guests have to say? They loved it!! They actually understood that the news is just completely outrageous and just blows things out of proportion as compared to what was truly happening within the country. Yes we sheltered them but come on the city was not as bad as they showed on the foreign news channels. And fox news, im sorry to say has some major racial and religious issues, they just talk utter crap and they should just be pulled off air. We met some great people during this wedding, it was a breath of fresh air, they loved the city, and im hoping they loved the people, we had the mayun, a chaotic and confusing nikkah ceremony, a rocking insane party at a prestigious restraunt which gave a beautiful view of karachi to our guests, than a beautiful mehndi and beautiful shadi. Was everyone in over drive? Hell yeah, everyone was on utter and insane overdrive but trust you me it was well worth it! Oh yeah and if anyone from the outside world is reading this, im taking everyone up on there invitations and will definitely be flying to your locations to party like the madmen us pakistanis are.
Oh yeah and to top it all off, our amazing guests pulled off one of the best choreographed dances i had ever scene heh. they actually made us want to crawl back into the hole we came from. I'm attaching the video on the blog for all eyes to see :)
Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2789963779518343025.post-79687883915244536992008-01-07T03:20:00.000-08:002008-01-07T03:29:35.209-08:00Assasinations, weddings & the hunt for milk, bread and water! - Part 1As we all know one very popular lady was assassinated a couple of days back. Thus the city came to an utter standstill, after which utter chaos ensued. Ridiculous to the extreme was the aftermath,
from cars being burnt, people being killed on the roads, shops being looted. My question is who actually profits from this? Well first of all not the PPP, secondly not the masses, and well at the end of the day the entire country came to a stand still. It was just beyond insanity. I understand the poor lady was assasinated but for christs sake people why destroy your own country because of the death of a corrupted icon. Is this what our country stands for? Are we actually asking for another country to come in and keep the peace and just destroy everything our country stands for? I think if this chaos is not managed that will wind up being the case and well Iraq will be relived in my opinion in 5-6 years in Pakistan which we all really don't want. So what next? For the first time in my life i really don't know. So if anyone would like to shed some light on the topic great. Its time the pakistani's pull out of this rut of extreme insanity and someone needs to take a stand in order to show the masses the right path. Is it one of us? Could it be one of us? Lets just hope....part 2 next!Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2789963779518343025.post-16823531738257225482007-11-12T04:28:00.000-08:002007-11-12T04:41:35.934-08:00edumacation- day blank
Yes its time to be educated, People, we all understand that Pakistan is going through a very odd time, notice i dont use the word tough. Tough was lets say about 8 years back when we had alot of buffoons running the country. But in this turmoil and state of emergency one tends to overlook the major problem faced by our country and that is education.
First of all let me burst everyones bubbles, there is no QUICK FIX available to resolve our countries problem. If we need to take a stand it has to be for the term "EDUCATION". Forget the protests, the violence, the blatant disregard of respect. Its just education. I consider education the key to help our country develop a democracy.
A democracy people can understand, the layman in our country can not differentiate between a democracy and a dictatorship just because of the sole reason that there is a lack of education.
If some politicians or so to say well wishers of the country get there acts together and perhaps start developing even a basic structure i can see a difference in our futures.
The television is NOT an educational tool, presently its biased and well has a disregard for many things. In my opinion if the television was a little more focused at the problems in hand life would be a little less confusing for our masses.
So what can we do? Well its up to you all to decide. If anyone wants to share there important input with me please feel free to email me. But i would suggest lets all stop sitting on our asses and start doing something on our own accords and lets see how it actually impacts the future of our lovely and lost nation. Save the cheerleader, save the world? No, Teach the cheerleader to read and let her save the world.
And by education i don't mean teach the philosphy, etc etc, i would say teach them about life, teach them vocational skills teach them the basics and well than we can go in further. But guys its all up to us now so you decide.Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2789963779518343025.post-52947183279958308982007-11-05T02:01:00.000-08:002007-11-05T02:14:52.237-08:00State of emergency or State of mind?...day 10
Today i will try not to be political, yet a little insightful, but please feel free to share your opinions. Yes i understand that on paper our country is under a state of emergency. But tell me something guys, does it really make a difference to everyones life? The only people who are pissy are the politicians and the americans.

Was reading about cuntdeleezas statement on cnn, PAKISTAN did not consult with the US before declaring the SOE, guys frankly speaking why the hell do we need to consult america for anything. The usa is a state of leeches, and well leeches should not be given more blood to feed on. Yes economically this SOE can effect us quite negatively if not handled in the smartest of ways but i have a good feeling about it and i think our country will adjust itself slowly and accordingly.

A state of emergency is just another excuse for us poor sad souls to party harder as we proved at the hallows night masquerade, people partied utterly insanely, i give them all kudos for dressing up, some highlights of the night included, the baby costume, the daku costumes, the maula jut costumes, the vampires, the ghouls and goblins devils as well as the hijabis from lal masjid came down to party hard and party like true partiers do!

All in all people should just chill out, live there life and try to understand that living for the moment is key, and as far as im concerned. "SHIT HAPPENS" deal with it! So what is the state of your mind today? Keep on posting guys!Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2789963779518343025.post-56159344305976416202007-10-22T13:48:00.000-07:002007-10-23T08:09:46.542-07:00the blank room...day 4
Yes there is no day 3 in my blog, because i think it just passed me by due to extreme workload!
So what now? Nothing i suppose today i feel we shall talk about the blank room!
What my friends is the blank room? Its that time in the day where you are sitting by yourself watching your favorite tv show and than this shiver goes up and down your spine after you realize the fact that you are in a blank state of mind. The blank room my friends, is the cubicle you sit in as do i at this present time and moment after hours at work.

The blank room is the state of mind that you are left with when you are drained after a long day at work. I'm sure all of you have had those days? Havent you? If you havent than please tell me the secret of your sanity.

The blank room is what your in when you are about say something and you completely forget what it was and it comes back to you in a week or a day or even a months time.

The blank room is that feeling that is derived out of that entertaining moment once achieved and than there is nothing else. Bordering boredom perhaps the blank room is a logic that everyone tends to overlook. What is your blank room? Come on tell me what you guys think your blank room is all about?

I have loads more to say about my blank room but it would be good if you spent atleast five minutes in a day to pinpoint your blank room and tell me about it so perhaps we can find a common factor and thus end that problem :).Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2789963779518343025.post-55973543251017667562007-10-22T03:48:00.000-07:002007-10-22T04:14:14.491-07:00the heat is on- day 2
Hmm, since its blasting hot out in the city of karachi today i decided to write up some insights on the present situation of the roads.

Yes they are still holed up, yes those ugly banners of benazirs return are still up, and yes the rickshaws and the taxi drivers and the donkey karts are still running around like they just ran out of an asylum. I think i preferred the city alot more with the strikes in full force. It was just so peaceful to drive around in the city, i shudder to say it but it felt like driving around the quiet streets of Dubai. But yet again even Dubai is going through traffic turmoil nowadays!

On another note, has anyone ever noticed that the hotter it gets outside the dumber people become on the inside? I have come across some pretty stupid people at some pretty hot times. And by hot i don't mean horny.

Have you ever noticed though that people tend to be quite less stupid when the night comes around, or is it just my imagination. I seriously think the level of stupidity decreases as the sun starts to go down. Its as if the sun makes people into non motivated, intellect deprived zombies.

Maybe the stress of working a full time job just wears people down...HELL NO i think thats utter crap, people in this country are just really spoilt. First of all do a job that you enjoy, than find stuff in it which entertains you. Trust me if it still doesn't work out than there must be something wrong with you. Trust me just do something you enjoy everyday of your life and the world will definitely be a better place.

Lets head back to the stupidity bit of this post, so yes i am willing to bet an arm and a leg that there are atleast 3 really stupid people that you will come across today, and there stupidity will shock you to levels of the unknown. But keep in mind these stupid people only come out during sunshine. Its like the night scares them into there little hobo boxes. An normal thinking human will come across and average of at least 2.5 stupid people in a day which means about 70-100 stupid people in a month.

The thing with stupidity is that it ranges from on end of the line to the other, you could come across stupid doctors, stupid rjs, stupid advertisers, stupid brands, stupid men, stupid kids, stupid women and well the list is just endless. So how about you yes you reading this blog right now, tell me how many stupid people you come across on an average everyday.

How do we fix this? I really don't know, i just plain simple phase myself out when im around stupid people or i just tell them to shut up. Or you could just wait for the night to fall and well just hope to god they go hide themselves back in there little cardboard hobo boxes!Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2789963779518343025.post-84104567792234455572007-10-21T13:40:00.000-07:002007-10-21T23:41:37.728-07:00The way i was - Day 1
I've heard alot about blogs in the past couple of years but honestly i have never had the chance to ever read one never ever given thought to write one. But lets just say every dog has his day and today could actually be mine.I never did understand what a blog was, yes i can see everyone shaking there head thinking what a moron but seriously who cares.

Actually the real reason im writing this blog is because i got inspired, it was inspiration yes but definitely not of the divine kind, nor of the emotional or spiritual kind. It actually stemmed from watching this TV show by the name of "Californication" It was hilarious, dirty and just outright wrong and guess what i loved it.

Well so what do i hope to achieve out of this blog? Honestly not a whole lot, all i want to do is write, if anyone wants to read they are more than welcome. I do not intend on being inspirational nor will be one of those "wow i want to write like that" aspirational blogs. If i dont have anything to say i wont write but if i feel something needs to be said well it will be and nothing "NOTHING" will be held back so dont piss me off;).

On a lighter note i have been writing this blog since last night, but my sad ass pc keeps hanging on me, so i finally can finish this now. Consider this the start of an honest revolution and please feel free to throw off your shoes take of your clothes and chill in your chaddis for this blog which i so quaintly describe as "Samme says what?" Welcome to my hell.

Oh yeah and one more thing, please feel free to say anything and everything you would like to say on the comments portion and try not to hold yourself back.Sammehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15268241559854508032noreply@blogger.com5
